This Is Your World Convention!

Don’t be left out! You will see the vision in action. A new powerful wave of anointing has started in the FGBMFI. This World Convention is for every chapter, leader, their friends and family. Our Fire Teams will be a central part of the convention.

In May, 300 Fire Teams, including FGBMFI men and women from many nations, had a dynamic effect on Nicaragua. In 925 meetings throughout the nation, more 97,000 people responded to an invitation to commit their lives to Jesus Christ. So, let’s all catch the fire! God is a way maker!

The youth wave: There are thousands of FGBMFI youth members in the universities. They will be sharing exciting, fresh testimonies at the World Convention.

Training: There will be special training to build chapters. The most successful chapter patterns in the world will be taught. Come and you will see your chapter and nation grow in the Lord.

Equipping our men: We are planning special training sessions on How to Bring Someone to Christ – How To Release the Power of the Holy Spirit in Your Life – How to Bring Healing.

Enjoy fellowship: Meet old friends and new ones. There will be exciting people there from all over the world.

The Ladies of the Fellowship: Ladies’ events, such as luncheons and sharing together in our Hospitality Room, is always a help and encouragement to our wives.

The President’s Luncheon: Hear a specific word for the FGBMFI as it enters the year 2000. This event alone is worth coming for. The best is yet to come.

For businessmen: Get ready for a step up in your finances. At the special Saturday business session you will meet influential people from all over the world.

Enjoy testimonies from every nation, music with Andre Crouch, Roger McDuff and others, worship, prayer, and praise. There is nothing like the World Convention!

Nicaragua

We have just experienced the most wonderful, exciting week in the history of the FGBMFI. Through seven specific prophetic words, our International President led Fire Teams to Nicaragua on May 3-8th of this year. These very dates were marked by political and civil problems, which created a black background against which the light of the Gospel was made brilliant.

Our teams had meetings in businesses, factories (which shut down so people could attend), universities, schools, with the military, the government, in hospitals, at major outside markets, in housing projects, and even in prisons.

From the President to refugees, our teams took the love of Christ to every level of society. We gave food to those in need and toys to the children. Even Daniel Ortega, former President and leader of the opposition, invited Richard Shakarian to meet with him on two different occasions.

In the universities and high schools alone, 24,335 young people committed their lives to Jesus Christ. There is a new anointing upon the Fellowship since we have introduced the Fire Teams. Their next assignment is to spread the fire at the World Convention. It is truly a new day for the FGBMFI.

El Salvador

El Salvador is making the Nicaragua strategy the centerpiece of their Regional Convention to be celebrated in San Miguel, June 18th & 19th. Panama has asked for help to do the same thing in their country, and Columbia will start with it on the 14th & 15th of August and again on October 1st & 2nd of this year.

In Nicaragua the revival continues! Since the end of the airlift on May 8th, our men have continued to go to the schools, factories, and offices. They have shared with a further 10,000 people and that number continues to grow. Over 90% of these people are responding. God is changing Nicaragua!

Each member of the FGBMFI is a door to his world. Through our members, we were able to reach thousands of their friends, coworkers, families, etc. A new leadership position has been created by our men in Nicaragua. Each chapter now has an Outreach Director. His job is to coordinate the men who give their testimonies in factories, schools, government offices, etc. FGBMFI Nicaragua has set their sights fully on reaching every man, woman and child in their country with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The vision is real! Common, ordinary men and women are being used by the Lord to bring in the harvest! For our men in Central America, as they go, the Lord works with them, confirming His word with signs following!

Wales

While FGBMFI President, Richard Shakarian was in Wales with Peter Gammon during May, they prayed for an oriental lady who had one short leg. When they prayed, the lady says she felt something happening in her leg. Everyone was amazed as they watched the short leg grow before their eyes. Lynn Heritage reports a confirmation that she was indeed healed.

Lynn tells us that up to that evening, she had been under the constant care of an orthopaedic consultant. She had been receiving physiotherapy. Now, after this miracle, she feels normal and can walk fine.

Austria

From wheelchair to the dance floor

Winfried Fuchs, International director of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI), was speaking in Ried/Innkreis in Austria on 6 March 1999. He had the impression that Jesus wanted to physically heal a number of those present. Andrea, a young woman in a wheelchair, listened closely; for 12 years, she had suffered from a painful disease. Winfried suddenly turned to her and said, "Stand up and walk!". He reached out his hand to help her stand. The visitors could hardly believe it as Andrea stood up and started to walk! Unsteady at first, she walked around the room a few times, tearfully rejoicing in the miracle. A medical examination revealed that the once dead nerves have been regenerated.

For the last year we have had at least one person join the chapter at each banquet. As a result, we have a lot of new people attending the functions. It is very rewarding for me to see how God continues to draw people by His Holy Spirit.

Westminster

Chapter President, Ulrich Sutter

More than 20 years ago a group of men set out from Seattle for their first UK airlift. The foundation of a chapter in the heart of the UK government was the result. On April 1st, we once again had a glimpse of those early days in Westminster. Prayer is once again becoming the core of our chapter activities and, as I write, the Lord is using a senior government minister to investigate prayer facilities in the House of Commons for our chapter.
